HOUSTON, Texas – In another move to add value
to its clients’ shows, the George R. Brown Convention
Center is now offering an additional concierge service
to assist convention-goers at Houston’s downtown
meeting place.
Located on the second level near the skybridge connecting
to the Hilton Americas-Houston hotel, a permanent concierge
desk has been installed to supplement the service also
being provided inside the Explore Houston visitors center.
Experienced personnel will offer lunch and dinner suggestions
(and assist with reservations) and provide information
about what to see and do in Houston, with particular
attention to the downtown area. The phone number to
the concierge desk is 713/853-8884.
“We have experienced staff, who know Houston,
that will be manning the concierge desk,” said
GRBCC general manager Luther Villagomez. “In this
age of automation, we think their personal attention
to detail will put visitors to our city at ease.”
Villagomez added that personalized concierge service
is another step in a campaign to improve the experience
for everyone visiting the George R. Brown Convention
Center.
“Whether it’s great coffee at Starbucks
or state-of-the-art business service at our new FedEx
Kinko’s copy and shipping center or personalized
concierge service, we think our customers will like
the amenities they’ll find here at the George
R. Brown,” Villagomez said.
